Born in Budapest, Hungary in 2000, Kristóf started his violin studies at the age of four. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music with Kristof Barati. Currently he is a student of Sergey Malov at the Zürich University of Arts.
He has won numerous national and international violin competitions, including the Mladi Virtuozi International Violin Competition in 2015 or the Ilona Fehér International Violin Competition in 2017. In 2025 he won 2nd Prize at the Frank Preuss International Violin Competition.
In 2021 as part of the Korossy string quartet, he was a laureate of the Bartok World Competition. Ever since making his orchestral debut with Budapest Strings Chamber Orchestra, at the age of thirteen, he is regularly performing with both Hungarian and European orchestras, such as the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, Concerto Budapest, the Haydn Philharmonie, the MAV Symphony Orchestra, Budweis Philharmonic Orchestra or the Cluj Philharmonic Orchestra.
In 2018 he both premiered and recorded the violin concerto of the great contemporary composer Miklós Csemiczky.
He is also an active chamber musician, regularly taking part in festivals such as the Festival Academy Budapest, Gstaad Menuhin Festival, IMS Prussia Cove, Nume Festival, Kaposfest, Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival, Prades Casals Festival or the Auer Festival.
He is a regularly attending masterclasses of highly acknowledged artists such as, Andras Keller, Mihaela Martin, Shlomo Mintz, György Pauk, Pavel Vernikov, Augustin Hadelich.
In 2019 he received the Junior Prima Prize.
Starting from 2023 Kristóf is part of the Altalena Young Artists.
